Hunter Douglas errors

Post by FrankVZ »

Hi All,

I recently bought a Hunter Douglas (Powerview 2) system, and connected it with Domoticz.
I use the python script I found at github: https://github.com/jgaalen/domoticz-powerview-plugin

I can change scenes from within Domoticz, also use the manual slider for blinds%.

Most of the time the unit seems to work well, but for some reason my email box is flooded with errors:
" 2026-01-27 10:52:35.083 Error: HD hardware (21) thread seems to have ended unexpectedly"

The errors appear mostly after a timer (from the hub/powerview app) tiggers a scene, but also if the blinds are moved with the blinds% slider for instance.

Version: Version: 2025.2 (build 17031) -> running this version since the latest stable doesnt support all the Hue hardware and the latest beta destroys my data.
Python Version: 3.11.2 (main, Apr 28 2025, 14:11:48) [GCC 12.2.0]
Platform: Synology NAS / Container Manager/Docker
Plugin/Hardware: HD Powerview Gen 2 hub

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

It seems the plugin author has read this message and tried to fix the issue in the plugin https://github.com/jgaalen/domoticz-pow ... gin/pull/3
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

Oh man! That was really fast!
I actually reported this post (reference) to the author via GitHub too, and he fixed it faster than I can type :)

This is really valuable, I really appreciate it. Thanks!

I've played with it for a few hours, and it seems to work fine. Great!
