FRsh install on Raspberry Pi OS Trixie fails

Hi,
I try to install Domoticz on a new Pi5 system, with a fresh install of Raspbian Trixie. The install stops after checking libssl1.1 without any error message:

Code: Select all

$ sudo bash -c "$(curl -sSfL https://install.domoticz.com)"
:::
::: You are root.
::: Verifying free disk space...
:::
::: Checking apt-get for upgraded packages.... done!
:::
::: Your system is up to date! Continuing with Domoticz installation...
:::    Checking for apt-utils... installed!
:::    Checking for whiptail... installed!
:::    Checking for git... installed!
:::    Checking for curl... installed!
:::    Checking for unzip... installed!
:::    Checking for wget... installed!
:::    Checking for sudo... installed!
:::    Checking for cron... installed!
:::    Checking for libudev-dev... installed!
:::    Checking for libssl1.1...
$
How do I fix this? Is this installer not yet ready for the latest Raspbian release?

For current stable Domoticz Trixie is not supported. Domoticz needs the old libssl1 but it seems the install script section to install libssl1 on Trixie is not working. You probably have to install libssl1 manually until the install script is modified. See this topic to do a manual install: viewtopic.php?t=43111

The next stable should be supporting Trixie. Current beta is probably also already supporting Trixie.

Alternative is to use the Docker install. That is always supported... https://wiki.domoticz.com/Docker

Yes! Thank you.

Code: Select all

wget http://security.debian.org/debian-security/pool/updates/main/o/openssl/libssl1.1_1.1.1w-0+deb11u3_arm64.deb
and

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg -i libssl1.1_1.1.1w-0+deb11u3_arm64.deb
did the "trick" .
