Today I purchased a Trädfri "starterset" with a bulb and a remote control (type "Styrbar"). Have not yet tried the bulb, but since I have several more Ikea bulbs I don't expect any issues there.
I was keen to get the remote working, so I paired it (press the link button 4 times).
It shows up in ZigbeeConbee, and also as a single device in Domoticz, type "selector switch".
Created a small script to see what the four buttons do.
Pressing the two buttons with small and large light icons work: even show up with different status after a short or long press. Useful. This gives me four different actions to switch lights to different scenes.
But it's the other two buttons with the left and right button that I don't see showing up.
Is there a way to get these two buttons to work?

Those 2 buttons also not show up in ZigbeeConbee?
What integration do you have? deconz plugin? Z4D, Z2M?

In ZigbeeConbee the device shows as a single entity, described as "Remote control N2".
Meanwhile I found that the left/right arrow buttons do work, as long as I press for a few seconds: as upclick (both buttons).
Purpose of this RC is to control the lights in the different scenes. So I guess I'll forget the arrow buttons.
The other buttons have a dual function, and I should be able to work with that.
For instance:
Long press bright icon: switch to standard scene.
Long press dimmed icon: switch to off.
Short press bright: switch to next brighter scene.
Short press dimmed: switch to next less-bright scene.

Is the device certified in the Zigbee4Domoticz UI (menu management - Device management)?
If not create an issue on the zigbeefordomoticz plugin repository as explained on their wiki https://zigbeefordomoticz.github.io/wik ... evice.html

OK, so what are the levels of the created selector switch? Do they refer to one of the missing action buttons?
Those ikea remotes are not easy to use. See also https://github.com/zigbeefordomoticz/wi ... Tradfri.md

Re: link new Ikea RC (square model) in Z4D
I got the remote control working with the two lightbulb icons, probably meant for dimming. Each button has two functions, based on long- or short-press.
This is sufficient for my purpose: lights on/off for long-press, and move up/down in scenes for short-press.
The left and right arrow buttons both come in with the same value, so are not useful to me.
I guess this works, so no further action needed...
