Enever issue

I installed the Enever hardware gateway. All 4 devices appear and actual energy/gas prices are correctly displayed. However, both other devices, containing the counter/daily cost just display a copy of the actual price.

Counter "Stroomkosten vandaag" is a counter that will display the energy costs of today over time in the future. So if you have a dynamic contract you will see that costs around 12 will be lower due to for example solar power if it is a sunny day. In that way you can figure out what the best time is to charge your car.

On you normal Domoticz energy counter (eg P1 smart meter) you will get an extra costs line in the log section so you will see the costs of today for that particular.
This will happen for all energy counters in your Domoticz system.
With the Energy dashboard you can make a view over your Home Energy systems including batteries and Solar Panels.

Thanks for explaining. Even after rereading the docs I still needed your explanation understanding this is a future asset. I had already written my own Python program doing the cost calculation per hour, so I have a device counter showing today's total cost in Utilities and a cost line in Log. The same cost line will be shown using the Enever hardware gateway, but not (yet) the device cost counter in that case. I prefer using the official Domoticz program, that was my reason for asking. The image in the post shows output if Settings | Settings | Meter/Counters is using the Enever devices; if I use my custom devices the daily total cost will be shown.

What is so cryptic of the description in the wiki? Even the Dutch Google translation makes understandable texts out of it.
Now 4 devices will be created,
- The actual price device for Electricity and Gas
- A daily forecast device for Electricity and Gas for the next day. These device could be used to plan usage of other devices for example charging cars or switching of solar panels.
The forecast device is also called "Daily Electricy/Gas prices"

So nothing with costs calculation in it

I know. There is nothing wrong with the docs, I just expected cost calculation to be part of Enever and read the docs as such. The existence of a Meter/Counter device named "Daily Electricity/Gas Price" got me tripped up. I will quietly wait for the program to have those features and use my own program in the meantime. Thanks again.

Now I don't understand you.
Domoticz has functionality to do cost calculation based on dynamic prices as explained here https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Applicati ... alculation

What more do you need?

You're absolutely right and I use it all the time. But it doesn't show on the Dashboard and not as a counter for total daily cost. When I saw the Enever hardware gateway, with its metered/countered device called Daily Energy Cost, I just thought this would do daily energy costs including counting, even after thoroughly reading the docs. So, this will be a future asset and I will be using my own program in the meantime.

Indeed, those daily energy cost values are only visible on the special Energy Dashboard and the device graphs. No additional functionality is foreseen to extend that as far as I know.

Question about the Energy dashboard. This is a nice addon! But I have an issue that I do not get the prices in the Electricity icons (Solar, P1 meter).
I do see them in the Gas and Water meter.
I have setup Enever hardware, in the Meter/Counter section I have selected the Enever Actual Price devices. Any idea what I have done wrong?

It takes some time to see the daily costs.
Do you see the costs graph option on the log page of the electricity dwvice?

I see cost no. Not sure if it was a matter of waiting, or I due to the change of the cost device. I have the Daily Electricity and Gas price and changed that to Actual Electricity/Gas price.

You need indeed have to select a device that has the actual energy price....

Hi,
I recently found the Enever plugin and got it (easily) up and running, nice plugin!
Unfortunatly it's not quite accurate.
Today the gas price is negative in my Domoticz (ANWB, -0,472) while when looking at the Enever site it says €1,375.
December 26'th it was also different in my setup (from the Enever site).
I've got the plugin also running at my parents domoticz setup, gasprice is the same as in my Domoticz.

How can this be fixed?

The question is: What does the json from Enever show? Does it also show the incorrect value? As then it is an issue at Enever.

Thx!
Price is currentlt the same (json/ Domoticz/ Enever site).
I'll check again when there's a negative price.
