Hi,
this is my first plugin I wanted to add to Domoticz so that it is available in the hardware dropdown list.
I'm running Domoticz on a Windows 11 pc.
I want to add the Husqvarna plugin (https://github.com/FilipDem/Domoticz-Hu ... wer-plugin), so I created a subfolder in the Domoticz folder named plugins and within that a subfolder Husqvarna.
I added all the files and restarted Domoticz.
But I don't see the plugin in the hardware dropdown list.
What am I doing wrong?
I do already have Python running on this pc and a script whicht extracts all the data from oyr heatpump, so Python is working.
What steps did I miss?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Frank

Re: Plugin is not seen in Hardware list
I guess you need to install git for windows (https://git-scm.com/download/win) just click, next next next next next next install, then launch git bash and then go into the \domoticz\plugin\ folder and do
Then it wil make a folder and files for you. Hope this helps. It is GIT Bash you want to open. After restart domoticz.
Code: Select all
git clone https://github.com/FilipDem/Domoticz-Husqvarna-Automower-plugin.git
I Love Domoticz ! And the community around it :-)

Did you restart Domoticz?
Do you have python entries in the log about python?
You should see something like:
PluginSystem: Started, Python version '3.x.y'

Re: Plugin is not seen in Hardware list
Hi,
@Waltervl: I did not see this message in the log. So I uninstalled Python completely and reinstalled it. Now it is working.
@Thuis: I did not know this step. After I solved the suggestion of Walter I did your step and now Husqvarna is showing in the Hardware.
Next issue is it can be added, but does not show any devices.
But I'm a bit further on the road to succes.
Thanks guys.

At the setting page you need to ALLOW hardware.

Re: Plugin is not seen in Hardware list
It is working now. I updated from 2022.1 to 2024.6 and that did the trick.
Couldn't have done it without your help. Thanks a lot.
