How to change a device value of sensortype"Usage (Electric)" in dZevents

Post by jpmd »

Can somebody tell me how I can update a value of a device of subtype "Usage (Electric)" in dzEvents?

I must be something like
domoticz.devices('Huisverbruik').updateActualWatt(myValue)
But this is not working.

Be aware this is not a very useful device as it does not report history. Better use the "electric Instant+Counter" device if you have both counter (kWh) and instant usage (Watt) values available. Also it can calculate energy usage (kWh) from the instant usage if the energy is not available....

In dzvents https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/DzVents:_ ... counter.29
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar

OK, thank again.
I now use the "electric Instant+Counter". Much better!
