Running domoticz and home assistant on HP EliteDesk 800 G2

Hii all,

For my home automation I use Domoticz on a Raspberry pi 4. For years this was working fine for me. Since I have some new stuff like a vacuum cleaner and air conditioner I use a second Raspberry pi 4 with Home Assistant running on it. This because in my opinion Home Assistant has a beter support for devices but I like the Domoticz programming style like dzvents. So I use NodeRed to send the signals from and to Domoticz to control the devices in Home Assistant.

Now I was wondering if it`s possible to run both, Domoticz and Home Assistant on a for example HP EliteDesk 800 G2? This because the small size and price. Should I install Linux on the desktop or use 2 virtual machines?

Can I have youre opinion?

You can run Domoticz in a docker container on a linux OS.
And HomeAssistant probably in a separate Docker container but that is up to HomeAssistant.

And I suppose you could run both on an RPi 4 too. No need to use an Elitedesk for this.
