I am new to Domoticz, and soon, I will install a version on a Raspberry Pi to monitor and manage my home.
One of the reasons I wanted to use Domoticz is to control my solar panels.
I have a dynamic energy contract with hourly fluctuating prices. In the summer, prices drop below zero, and I will receive money when generating energy. So, I want to be able to turn the solar energy system on and off when the energy production from the network has a negative price.
I have a quote for a Huawei inverter (I think it will be a sun2000 inverter), and I am curious: can I manage the inverter with Domoticz? Monitor and control it by disabling power production and enabling it when the prices rise again.
thank you

Re: huawei inverter disable and enable power production
You will first have to determine the interface or API available for your inverter before your question can be answered. I doubt whether many will allow you to enable/disable it, but certainly many will allow you to read the production values.
Instead of switching off your solar panels it would be better to direct that excess power to something useful, for example charge your car if you have an EV. Better for your wallet and for the environment.
Also, to put things into perspective, in the current year prices have been negative during 15 hours, if you include taxes (209 if you exclude taxes). If you live in the Netherlands and "saldering" is still in place, you can calculate with prices including taxes.

By the way, if you search tweakers.net forums for "huawei sun2000" you will find some interesting links.
Apparently it is possible to limit the grid return with this inverter.

@willemd Thank you for your answer
I agree it would be better to charge an electric car. But the energy prices are negative. There is already too much energy on the network, and turning off the solar panels would help the energy company and my wallet. The energy that I produce in the summer I will not have in the winter unless I install a battery pack.
I will search Tweakers for the inverter and how to manage it.
