Connecting to Intergas Gateway

Post by RoelofS »

Hello, i'm trying to connect to my recently installed Intergas heater & thermostat thru the accompanying Intergas gateway - unsuccessful until now.
I've chosen the Intergas gateway from the hardware list in Domoticz "Hardware", inserted the gateway's IP address ( found in my router) in "remote address", inserted "admin" as "username" and the pw on the sticker of my gateway to "password" all on the Domoticz "add Hardware" section. It shows up as an entry on the hardware list on top of the page, but...
I understood that I should now also see a list of items added on the Domoticz "devices" list. - which I don't.
Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong ?
thnkx,
RoelofS
PS it is a very recent gateway; production date april 2023

Hi waltervl,
the link you sent me discusses problems you might have after you have a working connection to the gateway, and you see the devices belonging to the Intergas Gateway in the Domoticz "devices" page. It doesn't discuss how to connect to the gateway..unfortunately.

On the last page of this big topic there are messages by user Gravityz that has docx attachments with instructions.

Hi waltervl,
I did do exactly as described in "Intergas Incomfort koppelen aan Domoticz-vr3.docx" ,
both with the ip-address indicated in said link, as well as with the ip-address I see for the gateway in my router. Nothing happens, no devices show up,
so I don't even get to the following stages of the discussion in this topic.

I didnt have this issue with other conncections: my Hue-system, slimme meter and Xiaomi did show up in the devices list when I made the connection
on the "hardware" page.
I would like to show a screenshot of the hardware page, but pictures on this forum are too complicated for me...

Better post your issue and findings in that other topic, then those users will hopefully get a notification so they can help you.
I have no clue what are the requirements and pitfalls for this integration.

Hello, I've finally succeeded in making the connection to the Intergas Gateway.
As said I followed all the instructions in the link provided. What was not mentioned in that article,
but proved to be essential, is that username and password should be "integrated" in the "remote address",
and NOT filled in in the boxes "Password" and "Username" on the Hardware set-up page.
Deleting those two entries suddenly made the Intergas items appear in my Setup/Devices page, which had remained empty before.
