Switch off ventilation unit by WiFi

Hello,

I am new to the forum and have a simple question.
I own a Zehnder ConfoAir unit with a Perilex plug with a Sa 1-3v switch. The switch had 3 levels (low, medium, high speed) and has 3 wires.
I would like to be able the switch the fan totally off using a mobile device. If this requires switching the power off, that is also fine with me.
I was considering doing this by installing a SONOFF ZBMINI-L on the L1 connection of the Perilex plug.
I think this would result is cutting power and shutting down the unit when the switch is set to speed 1 and the Sonoff is activated. Will this work, or are better options available?

I do not own a Zehnder unit, but I believe that a better way exist to interface with Domoticz.

If I use Google, I get several hits, which show that a serial communication port is available.
You did not mention the exact typenumber of the Zehnder unit, so I cannot check, if a serial port or USB port is available by default or that this is optional (or even impossible).

I see also results that describe a conversion to MQTT.
In that case you can communicate with Domoticz by means of Node Red or some scripting.

I would check/investigate that route first.

A thread exists in this very forum on how to interface with the zehnder ventilation units. It can be quite tricky though: I have been trying on and off for several years now, and still haven't managed to get it working. I think somewhere in the process I broke the communication circuitry in my unit. But if it works, you can indeed control the unit to run at all of it's normal speeds, low, medium and high, but you can also set it to Off.
I do have a setup running though that looks a lot like what you're thinking to do. My idea is however to always have the unit running to get fresh air into the house, and only when it's needed have it automatically switch to the medium or even high level. For this purpose I have installed a Fibaro FGS223 Double Relay+ in place where the switch used to be, and this switches the 2 and 3 lines on and off. My unit will therefor always run at speed 1, unless I activate one of the both switches in the double relay. Then the unit will run at speed either 2 or 3. It doesn't matter if I activate both at the same time, the unit will then run at the highest speed of the both, in my case high/speed 3.
I think you should be able to do a similar thing to get your desired situation. If you leave the "1" line disconnected( or whichever level you don't need). The unit will stop when both relays are open, and you can set it to 2 or 3 by activating one of the relays.

For safety reasons, I disconnected all of the lines inside the perilex plug and outlet, leaving only the Live, Neutral and Ground lines connected into the zehnder wtw unit, then I built the Fibaro unit into the top portion of the zehnder whr930 unit, connecting it to the 2/medium and 3/high speed wire terminals inside the zehnder unit. And my terminal for speed 1/low is connected to the Live wire. I think in your situation if you leave this last wire off, the unit will stop when neither of the relays is active.
