How to replace devices after migration

For devices supporting the Auto Discovery feature. Like ZWaveJS2MQTT, Zigbee2MQTT.

How to replace devices after migration

Post by Ragdag »

The Wiki says that you can repolace OpenZwave devices with the ZwaveJS2MQTT
https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/ZwaveJS2M ... _OpenZwave
If you need to retain history of the old devices then you need to replace the old device with the new one if identical devices are created. Use the replace function in Edit device, see wiki https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Managing_ ... ace_device Devices that were replaced will get the old name and old IDX, no need to change scripts.
As soon as I disable the old OpenZwave hardware all the devices associated with it disappear and in the replace menu under the new device I only see Unknown
So how do I know which to chose?

You seem to enable OZW but not have it look at the USB device (empty OZW USB port setting?).
Domoticz running on Udoo X86 (on Ubuntu)
Devices/plugins: ZigbeeforDomoticz (with Xiaomi, Ikea, Tuya devices), Nefit Easy, Midea Airco, Omnik Solar, Goodwe Solar
