Hi,

I tried updating the firmware for my Ikea Tradfri Devices through the Zigate Plugin (USBzigate+ V2, Plugin: 5.1.009, Firmware: 0320)
Unfortunately, i can't get it to work.

I followed this manual:

Through this manual I followed the steps, only at step 4 I found out that in the latetst Zigate-Plugin versions the OTA is already active and is not a selectable option anymore. (right?)

Than I tried to force an update to a Ikea Lightbulb. This is the result:
I always receive a Timeout, I tried 2 different Lightbulbs and 2 different firmware's.

Does anybody have a tip on how to get this working?

If your bulb is a Tradfri GU10 WS 400lm then the image type to select is 0x2203 and the latest version is 2.3.050.

Is the firmwae upgrading starting, do you see for instance in the log something like

Firmware transfert for dfc2/01 - Progress: 0.0 %

Looks like there is a Bug in the Zigate+ (V2) firmware which prevent device OTA firmware

No I don't see any progress bar.
Before the ultimate timeout I get these in the eventlog:

2021-09-13 17:11:09.101 Zigate: (Zigate) Ota retries notifying device 147a

I duplicate your problem and reported to Zigate https://github.com/fairecasoimeme/ZiGatev2/issues/23

Is there a reason to update when there is no problem?

Can you try the following:

1- stop the plugin
2- unplug the USB ZIGate for 10s and then plug in it back
3- restart the plugin

try the OTA firmware

Tradfri GU10 WS 400lm then the image type to select is 0x2203

Unfortunately no positive effect:

do you have any means to sniff the Zigbee traffic ?
