Hi there, thought it might be a nice extension to my Domoticz v.2020.2 dashboard to have MIB-reader and watch details about NAS, Router etc. Used the PP-manager to get the SNMPreader plugin. No problems activating the SNMPreader in the hardwarelist and appointing an IPaddress of my NAS but no reaction from that point onwards from Domoticz...
It surprised me to see the properties of the plugin.py under SNMPreader folder, were 620 so with sudo chmod I changed that to 644 first, like I saw when looking at other plugins.
Keep getting the follow bootlog from Domoticz eventhough Python 3.7 is properly installed and running :
2021-01-09 11:42:15.765 Error: (SNMPreader) failed to load 'plugin.py', Python Path used was '/home/pi/domoticz/plugins/SNMPreader/:/usr/lib/python37.zip:/usr/lib/python3.7:/usr/lib/python3.7/lib-dynload:/usr/local/lib/python3.7/dist-packages:/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages:/usr/lib/python3.7/dist-packages'.
2021-01-09 11:42:15.765 Error: (SNMP MIB2 reader) Module Import failed, exception: 'ModuleNotFoundError'
2021-01-09 11:42:15.765 Error: (SNMP MIB2 reader) Module Import failed: ' Name: pysnmp'
2021-01-09 11:42:15.765 Error: (SNMP MIB2 reader) Error Line details not available.
of course then followed by an error every so many minutes :
2021-01-09 11:51:27.221 Error: SNMP MIB2 reader hardware (19) thread seems to have ended unexpectedly
Not finding many up-to-date issues on this plugin on this forum, I wondered if anybody out there has it running on an up2date Domoticz version?

According to the README.MD on githubErnieFR wrote: Saturday 09 January 2021 11:50 Not finding many up-to-date issues on this plugin on this forum, I wondered if anybody out there has it running on an up2date Domoticz version?
Install "python3-pysnmp4" with "sudo apt-get install python3-pysnmp4"
Debian buster, bullseye on RPI-4, Intel NUC.

Re: SNMPreader compatible with latest Debian Buster and Domoticz 2020.2 ?
Thanks Waaren for pointing that out, I only now see that I might have mistaken this plugin all together. From the README I get the impression this plugin is more to add an SNMP OID to the Domoticz server, instead of reading/monitoring other networknode's snmp-OID with help of Domoticz? That's a disappointment, but my own fault.
What I did learn from this, is that the Python-Plugin-Manager in Domoticz is certainly no garantee for a flawless installed plugin!
Well that closes this issue for me, bye Ernie.

The plugin does (try to) read other systems SNMP OID'sErnieFR wrote: Saturday 09 January 2021 20:50 From the README I get the impression this plugin is more to add an SNMP OID to the Domoticz server, instead of reading/monitoring other networknode's snmp-OID with help of Domoticz? So to come to a second attempt, can you say Waaren if this plugin is compatible with Domoticz 2020.2 please?

I tested with 2020.2 build 12790 and it does work on that version. Have not tested it on the stable 2020.2ErnieFR wrote: Sunday 10 January 2021 11:51 So to come to a second attempt, can you say Waaren if this plugin is compatible with Domoticz 2020.2 please?

Re: SNMPreader compatible with latest Debian Buster and Domoticz 2020.2 ?
Thanks! That looks pretty reassuring, however I can not reproduce a same type of build number like you have. This is what I see in Domoticz Info :
Version: 2020.2
Build Hash: b63341bc0
Compile Date: 2020-04-26 13:47:55
dzVents Version: 3.0.2
Python Version: 3.7.3 (default, Dec 20 2019, 18:57:59) [GCC 8.3.0]
I'll give it another go, see what happens if I add that part of the install like you suggested. Great to find some support here, bye Ernie
