How to add blocky or LUA?

Maybe it has been answered somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
I'm feeling I'm missing a piece of the manual. I can find how to create events, but not how to use them.

I've tried to add some LUA scripts from here, but they weren't triggered.
I've tried to create a new event with blocky (as subscribed in the wiki), but that too didn't work for me.

How/where can I assign an event to a device?

GarbageCalendar did work with help from a nice tutorial.
But when I tried the script in viewtopic.php?p=233975#p233975 it didn't do anything

I created a new blocky event :

I selected time as trigger, but what next?
When reopening the event, the 'yes' is purple. Something is missing, but what?
How can I add this to a (dummy) device?
