Automating the small bell tower on my roof

I have a small bell tower on my house, now I of course want to be able to ring it from inside Domoticz.

My first approach is to use a Raspberry-controlled solenoid to hit the bell directly instead of trying to pull the string.

This is as far as I've gotten, will try and test it on the actual bell soon to se high how loud it will be.

It's a small contraption on my roof. It's called a dinner bell, the farmers would be called in for lunch and dinner from the fields. My house is from the 18th century (exact build year seems lost in time)...
