Incorrect temperatures

Post by Alain »

I installed an RfxTrx433XL the other day and am seeing a lot of temperature sensors. More than I have in my house. Most of the sensors (even the known ones) are reading between 40 and 80 degrees. Some even higher and one rads -181. What could be going wrong? The sensors are useless to me like this.

We have a Cresta indoor/outdoor weather sensor and an Alecto indoor temperature and humidity station with 3 remote sensors.

I have multiple Cresta, TFA TS34C with an RfxTrx433XL and they are reading the temperature perfectly.

What are your settings in the hardware section?

I have a whole bunch of protocols set active under the hardware Set Mode page. I started with just minimal and have gradually increased the number of protocols. With minimal protocols active, I had the same problem. I connected an external 3dBi antenna last night, and although it has improved a bit, I still sometimes have sensors reading higher numbers. I think it is caused by not having a good reception. The ones that are giving me the most problem, are the ones that are furthest away.

Just set only the protocols you want active in the RFX for your devices.
Some protocols don't work together in the RFX, see RFX documentation.
Wait until the sensors you want are in Domoticz.
Disable creation of new devices.
Delete the sensors that are not your own.
