install domoticz 4.9700, or other older versions.

Hi,

Is there a way to install a older version like domoticz 4.9700 with a command? Or where can i download the older versions?
With the broadlink api or python i can install different versions within the commandline, that seems not the case for domoticz.

I'm running ubuntu 20.04 as a virtual machine on synology with domoticz 2020.2 on it for test purpose and as a backup system.
And its running great, but as everyone i also have z-wave problems, so right now not much of a working backup system.

So i would like to make a second virtual machine with ubuntu and domoticz 4.9700 as a working backup in case of the raspberry dies.


My main original working setup is domoticz 4.9700 running on a raspberry pi 3. And a second raspberry pi 3 as backup with the same installation.

I tried to install the stable version in your link.

Did it with these steps/commands:

#1 stop domoticz (sudo service domoticz.sh stop)
#2 Remove the domoticz folder (rm -rf domoticz)
#3 Make a new domoticz folder (mkdir domoticz)
#4 Go to that folder (cd domoticz)
#5 Download domoticz (wget https://domoticaboard.nl/software/domot ... x86_64.tgz)
#6 Extract it (tar xvfz 4.10717_domoticz_linux_x86_64.tgz)
#7 Remove the compressed file (rm 4.10717_domoticz_linux_x86_64.tgz)
#8 Reboot (sudo reboot)
#9 Import your database backup (the 'domoticz.db' file).
#10 Reboot again (sudo reboot)

The installation went succesfull, however i can't get it to work.
The sudo start, stopt, status and restart commands do work, but no domoticz.

So i thought, lets try to install the 2020.2 stable release with this methode:

#1 stop domoticz (sudo service domoticz.sh stop)
#2 Remove the domoticz folder (rm -rf domoticz)
#3 Make a new domoticz folder (mkdir domoticz)
#4 Go to that folder (cd domoticz)
#5 Download domoticz (wget https://releases.domoticz.com/releases/ ... x86_64.tgz)

And this does work!

So i'm trying to get my head arround it why the "old" stable version won't work with this methode.

Please note that these are the binaries only. Quite a number of files in the subdirectories (www, Config, dzVents, scripts ) need to be aligned with binaries to get to a working system.
I archive older versions including subdirectory's in this dropbox subdirectory

Maybe someone can push my in the right direction of what is going on?

Ive got domoticz stable version 4.10717 running on ubuntu as a virtual machine in synology! It has zwave 1.4 so for now this is the best i can find that comes close to domoticz 4.9700. I am happy!

Oke what i did was install it on ubuntu 18.04 instead of 20.04, that did the trick.
So this methode would also work on rasbian on raspberry pi for people that want to go back to zwave 1.4. Then ofcourse change the linux domoticz package for the raspbian 32 bit package. You can find those files in the link erem provided.

Anyway, If someone can find the domoticz 4.9700 release packages for linux and rasbian 32 bit that would be really cool!

linux package: domoticz_linux_x86_64.tgz
and the raspbian 32 bit package: domoticz_linux_armv7l.tgz
