I have bought a Heiman Smart Siren HS2WD-E https://zigate.fr/le-materiel-compatibl ... rneheiman/
It is added in Domoticz as a Selector Switch widget with the following values:
0 Stop
10 Alarm
20 Siren
30 Strobe
40 Armed
50 Disarmed
When I select Alarm, Siren, Armed or Disarmed the siren will go off for a few seconds and then it stops.
Also if I select strobe, the light will flash one time.
Is this the normal expected behavior of this device?
I would expect to hear the siren continuously until I select "Stop"
The same with the strobe light.
Or better I would expect 2 widgets (not knowing if the device supports this)
1. switch to switch siren on/off
2. switch to switch strobe light on/off
Alternatively a switch with the following values:
0 stop
10 Siren on
20 Strobe on
30 Strobe and Siren on
Next to that the device apparently has a backup battery. It would be nice to see the status or see if it is activated (someone pulled the device out of the socket or switched the power off.
I have added the export of raw devices out of the Zigate Dashboard.
I am on plugin v 4.7.009, Domoticz v4.11070

Re: Behavior of Heiman Smart Siren and Zigate
Did you check the alarm duration option in the web plugin ?
You can also set the option in the conf file (zigate plugin)
I don't know how to check the battery status but i can confirm it's working on battery once unplugged.

Re: Behavior of Heiman Smart Siren and Zigate
Thank you Damsee, that was the trick!.
I did not know about this setting in the plugin web. Setting it to 10 seconds it went of for 10 seconds
When hitting Stop, it stopped directly.
So to resume (and for future reference when searching this forum):
Value 10 is giving x seconds flash and whoop-whoops
value 20 is giving x seconds whoop-whoops
value 30 is giving x seconds flashing strobe light
value 40 is giving 6 whoop-whoops (about 2 seconds)
value 50 is giving 6 whoop-whoops (about 2 seconds)
The seconds can be set in de plugin web (port 9440) settings page in the Miscellaneous settings section.

Re: Behavior of Heiman Smart Siren and Zigate
Glad to help.
FYI, i set mine to 300seconds (set 300 in the option field) and i'm only using level = 10, "flash and whoop-whoops".
For future reference, there's also level = 0 meaning OFF which i'm also using to disarm the siren if needed

An update on this device for other users:
The Alarm time setting in Zigate is now done by Device parameters https://github.com/pipiche38/Domoticz-Z ... ameters.md
I have entered for a 5 second alarm/strobe flashing time
