Zigate and Aqara Opple switch

Hi Pipiche,
Today I received my Aqara Opple Switch with 6 buttons. I added it to Zigate and I got 6 lvl controller widgets, I was expecting a selector switch.
I know the switch is inteded to use in 2 different ways, either a 6 button switch or linked to a bulb and then the buttons have a predefined functionality on/off,brightness up/down and color change.
I want to use it as a 6 button switch.
Can you help me getting the right widgets?
Thanks Ronald

Thanks, that would be great.
Let me know if you want me to test something. Got a second ZiGate today which is not in production yet so I’m able to do some testing on a second pi.

This is up and runnin, but currently only on a development branch. So if you want to make a try this is of course possible
you have to switch from beta to 'AqaraOpple' branch
Code: Select all
git pull
git checkout AqaraOplle
git pull
You have first to remove the widget whcih have been previously created
I expect to push it to beta late during the week-end

Hi Pipiche,
I have just tested and it works great, thanks. Got 6 selector switches with click, double click, triple click, long press and release.
I did notice two strange things:
- in the settings -> device page I see different selections like Group on, Dim 20%, group off etc.
- Every button shows the signal strength in de settings -> device page, but they are not all the same.
Regards Ronald

The signal Strength reported in Domoticz, correspond to the latest message. And that Strength is based on the last communication and could vary from one to and other

Ah, ok I understand.
So I guess one cosmetic little bug left.
Great work like always Pipiche.
Are you planning to push this to stable in the near future?

I don’t understand what you mean by cosmetic bug left.
The signal strength is an expected behaviour.
For pushing to stable, there no plan for now.

This is how Domoticz behave ... so cannot do more.
You might want to ask the Domoticz guys

Indeed, you're right. I see the same behaviour with the switches I have on the xiaomi gateway.
I'll post a message in the domoticz bug list

Now that I added more devices to this zigate and enabled group management I do have a problem. I added 7 tradfri bulbs, 1 hue bulb and a Xiaomi plug. I created 3 groups for the tradfri's and the hue bulb is grouped with a hue remote.
After this the Opple doesn't work as expected anymore. The widgets never change and when I press button 2 all 8 bulbs and the plug goes on, with button 1 everything goes off. So it behaves as if it's linked to everything, but I didn't link it...

By default the Aqara Opple is indeed broadcasting commands to the all network.
Did you at any point of time after the successful pairing reset the Aqara Opple switch ?
If that is the case you need to remove the widget and redo the pairing
During the pairing a number of Binding are removed

How do I reset the device? Only know how to bind by pressing the back button until the blue light starts blinking.
I did try to remove all widgets and rebind. The result was the same but I’ll try again tomorrow.

Good, I'm glad that you succeed.
