Zigbee2MQTT device pairing

Post by Dave21w »

Has anyone had any issues trying to pair the Xiamo Mijia Door/Window contact and if so did they resolve the issue. I have a lot of these that i currently use with a Dresden gateway using the deCONZ plugin and they work great, I'm currently building a Domoticz system for a friend using the CC2531 USB stick, I have successfully paired an ikea "hockey puck" switch, a Xiamo temp sensor and vibration sensor and a 2 button wall switch, they all work fine however even though I can see the door contact in the log it refuses to show up in the devices list. I've tried more than one of them but the result is the same, I can successfully pair them to my Dreseden / deCONZ setup on my own system so I know they work OK, they are listed in the supported devices but I can seem to get them to pair.

TIA
Dave

Strange. I have those door sensors too and they work fine.
I use a raspberry pi 3b+ with conbee2 stick and deConz plugin.
The sensor is showing in domoticz and works perfectly the first time.

The only thing that doesn't work yet is the xiaomi Opple switch. But they are working on it.

Very true, as I said mine also work great with the same setup as you but they refuse to pair with the CC2531 and zigbee2mqtt setup I am trying to use for a friend, I'd not seen the Opple switch, maybe one to look out for!

I have some problems with the Xiamo Mijia Door/Window contact too.
It was paired, but suddenly disappeared from the config file.
After a lot of trying I managed to pair it again, but after a few days it was gone again from the config file and Zigbee2MQTTAssistent
Make and breaking contact does not show up in the log.
And yes, I changed the battery, which I checked, with a new one.
I did not investigate further.

I can't say if the devices I have now managed to pair will vanish as it's only been a few hours but have you tried restarting just the domoticz service from the command line, not a whole system reboot.

I tried both domoticz and zigbee2mqtt services stop and start.
I looked in the logging of zigbee2mqtt. If it is not in that logging it cannot be in Domoticz.
If I find the time (next week) I will investigate.

I switched to an new coordinator CC1352P-2 with firmware 20200417.
There are some nice housings for that coordinator on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4067839
Everything works perfectly including the Xiamo Mijia Door/Window contact.
Only 1 Bulb ZNLDP12LM - Xiaomi Aqara smart LED bulb (Router) gives an error in the logging, but seems to work as it should.
I have 2 other of the same bulbs and they do not give these errors in the logging.
