ALDI / Muller-Light / Tint Smart Switch.

Post by Tjeerd13 »

Today i bought 2 Muller Smart Switches from the Aldi in the Netherlands. https://www.aldi.nl/onze-aanbiedingen/v ... ticle.html .

They are compatibel with HUE and KaKu.

After reset the unit i can connect them to the ICS2000 (Zigbee Light On/Off)

After reset i can't connect with the default HUE app. (Searching new light).

The solution that worked for me was using the Hue Essentails App.
  • Reset the device
  • Connect the Smart Switch to a power suply
  • Place the smartswitch close to the HUE bridge Less then 30cm
  • In the Essentials App select Add Device
  • Select Plugin Outlet
  • Select the HUE bridge
  • Press the Tochlink Button
  • When you hear the switch swithcing. Select Find LIghts
The device appears as unknown On/Off light. Now you con controll the light with HUE and it appears in Domoticz (Hue connected with domoticz).
Pi3, Pi4, Pi4 for Testing, Dashticz, RFXtrx433, Nest: "Thermostat V2, V3, Hello". Honywell Lyric T6R, RFXCom, KaKu, HUE, P1, Open Zwave USB,

Have 1 too.

What worked for me to connect to Hue:
- reset the switch by pushing the reset button on the switch 5 times with everytime a pause of 1 second. The red led on the switch blinks.
- Then I could add the switch to Hue App with the normal procedure, no Touchlink procedure required.
