Fibaro Smoke Sensor2 (FGDS-002) not reporting temperature

Post by ropske »

Hi,

i bought 2 new devices of these and both are reporting temperature to Domoticz automatically.

If i press 3 times the B button to wake the device up manually, then it is sending the temperature to Domoticz.
Interval time is set to 10minutes, but its not sending automatically.

Anyone has a solution for this please?

I want to use their temperature to control my heating system for every room.
And so i also have an extra safety with the smoke sensor in case something happens in that room.

Thank you

To my knowledge there isn't a setting for periodically sending.
Temperature is sent after time specified in parameter 20 but only if the temperature has changed more than parameter 21.
Set both parameters to 1 and you should receive instant temperature updates.

Hi mate, parameter 21 is set to 3 so means 0.3degrees
Parameter 20 is set to 10minutes.

Like now, heating is on from 4:00 so temperature has changed more than 0.3 degrees

In the bathroom, im using a version1 of this device with same parameters and this one is working fine

If you have parameter 21 set to 3, why set 20 to 10 minutes? I would set that one to 1 so that as soon as the change is 0,3° it gets send.
Don't know for sure but I guess mine are all version 1.

hmm, seems it is not only my smoke sensor that is acting weird.
some dimmers2 are now showing in Domoticz my light is on at x %

when i look in zwave control panel, there it shows they are off. (level = 0)
same for my rollers.

I'm using Domoticz V4.11503 ; maybe its related to Domoticz. Best way is never update it :(

I'm wondering if there is another software to control our devices with your php script instead of domoticz

Same here...
Zwave panel is correct but Domoticz is not getting the info correctly.

I'm still on 4.10659. Can't get newer versions running, get some errors.
As I don't add a lot of new stuff anymore I don't need the newer versions, it's running stable, so way take risks. Domoticz has become way to important in my house. When it's down I don't have heating, can't switch some of the lights, can't watch TV,...

Don't know. There're other options: https://medevel.com/17-home-automation-open-source
I never really looked into them. From what I read on the net Home Assistant should be pretty OK.

I managed to get the new version running.
Smoke sensors didn't report temperature until I woke them up.
As of now, only my Remotec scene masters aren't working. Must get it fixed before this evening or I can restore the previous version.

So you mean the new beta version of Domoticz?
After waking up your smoke sensors, they are reporting there temperature every x time?

Version1 or V2 of smoke sensor?

I see after updating to the beta version i'm running now, Domoticz is not receiving my % level of my roller shutters also. its closed or open.

Some strange things happened :(
Will try tonight to update to latest beta, maybe it is solved again ...

Don't know the version, they're all about 3 to 4 years old.

My Fibaro roller shutters are reporting normally.

Make sure you wake them up.
Or remove them from the ozw xml file.
I cleared my xml completely to go to openzwave 1.6

hmm, just noticed something strange:

when i open the xml file: zwcfg_0xdd897d37.xml
there is see the last node is number 49

When i check in my zwave panel in Domoticz, my last node is 58

And the 2 new smoke sensors i added are node 55 and node 58

So maybe there is something wrong with my xml file?
I can just delete the content inside it?
And everything will be loaded again in it without i need to reconfigure everything?

Thank you

Isn’t there another ozw cache file with your home id in the name?

Are they reporting now? Did you try removing them from the cache file? Woke them up?

After the update to latest beta, problems stays te same for the smoke sensors.
My Fibaro roller shutters are reporting the % level again (so not only closed/open)
That's good for the roller shutters.

So you are suggesting:
* sudo chmod -R 777 ozwcache_0xdd897d37.xml
* remove my 2 nodes for fibaro smoke sensor2
* reboot pi?

the 2 nodes, will they be added automatically gain?
or do i need to exclude/include again?
thanks you
