RFXCom unresponsive

Post by lukev »

Hi all,

I have the strangest thing with my RFXcom device. Once every 1-2 days it becomes unresponsive. If I switch a light or use a voice command with Google, the switch is actually switched on/off in Domoticz dashboard. But it isn't actually switched. No signal is sent by the RFXcom.

To solve this problem, I go to hardware and change a random thing in the RFXcom settings. Last week I just toggle the 'active'-switch twice, hit save, and the RFXcom sends signals again. Not really pratical, at least not for my wife and kids ;-)

Anyone encouterd this before?

I has this a couple of months ago. Eventually traced it to a dodgy ttl/serial usb for a Current Cost meter with a loose wire. I expect that the RFXCom was starved of current and had crashed. Since I removed it I haven't seen the problem again. Good Luck

I've seen similar behavior except mine eventually completely failed, I've since replaced it and not had any issues.
