Hello,
I try to connect a "Brennenstuhl FHT 433" radiator thermostat to domoticz via RFXcom. The thermostat should be similar or identical to the smartwave thermostat.
RFXcom recognizes the code and is able to send. But: The switching between the two modes of the thermostat only works from time to time. Mostly the button has to be pressed for several times.
I think that's because of saving energy. The thermostat recives messages only in a small time slot, it while sleeps the rest of the time. The original remote seems to send the code over a long period of time. This also confirms the operating instructions:
"To extend the battery lifetime, signals from the remote control are not immediately accepted by the radiator thermostat. When pressing the remote control, the red LED will light up for 10 sec. During this time, the command will be accepted ...."
My questions:
1. Can somebody confirm, that the smartware thermostat reacts similarly?
2. Is there a way to fix this problem? For example with a devents script that pushes the button again and again for 10 sec. or so?
Every suggestion is welcome.
