Hello everyone.
Ever since last October I am building a domoticz server for home use step by step. I have domoticz installed on a RPi linked with various z-wave products with the RazBerry card on top of the Pi.
So far, my steps have been quite successful, mostly by reading advice from this forum every time I got blocked.
However, the camera step is taking me longer than expected and I have not been able to fix my issues with help from this forum.
My domoticz is:
Version: 4.10717
Build Hash: b38b49e5
Compile Date: 2019-05-09 13:04:08
dzVents Version: 2.4.19
Python Version: 3.5.3 (default, Sep 27 2018, 17:25:39) [GCC 6.3.0 20170516]
Issue #1
I purchased a Pi camera and plugged it into the RPi wehre domoticz server is installed. The camera works fine and I can see the stream remotely. However, I have setup an event to send me a camera snapshot evertime a presence sensor is activated and I am not home. The event simply does not work. If I configure it to do anything else when presence detected, it works fine.
Any help to move forward?
Issue #2
Ok, it must be the camera, so let's try another simple and cheap camera: D-Link 932L
When setting the camera, the test works fine using the domoticz wiki instruction. However, when I add the camera after the test, the image disappears and no image or stream is included within the domoticz environment. To make things harder, If I enable the event mentioned in issue #1, the event works fine and I receive an email with the presence warning but the file with the image shows no image at all. I purchased the DLink based on the wiki where it says it is compatible.
Any help to get those images on board?
My final goal is to simply have 3 cameras inside the house along with motion sensors. If anybody can advice about the simplest way to achieve it, I shall take the advice and recycle the equipment purchased so far for this purpose.
Many thanks in advance for you help so far and the days to come.
