Domoticz on i386 machine with Linux

Hi all,

Just after 3 months of running domoticz on an rpi with new SD card, it crashed. Web interface cannot be reached.

I decided to drop the unstable RPI (formost the SD card) and installed Debian 9 stretch on an old i386 (intel duocore) mini itx with SSD.

But I ran into the problem of Libssl 1.0.0 which is not installed. When trying to install I also ran into other missing packages and gave up after two days of trying all kinds of fixes here and elsewhere..

What OS can I use (almost) out of the box with a simple tutorial found everywhere?

I don't want to run Windows and I have never installed a desktop with Linux. Terminal commands are also found everywhere. What I don't want is compiling and dependencies stacking on eachother of things I don't truly understand.

So basicly: What OS to choose for an old i386 (x32) machine?
