[Qubino Dimmer] how to use I2 and I3 separately?

Post by Geuvert »

Version: 4.10717 stable
Platform: Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS
Plugin/Hardware: AEON Z-Stick gen 5 / Qubino Flush Dimmer ZMNHDD1

Hi everybody,

I'm experiencing some difficulties in setting up a Qubino flush dimmer.

Currently i'm trying to create a wake-up light using the Qubino dimmer.
I would like to connect a bi-stable switch to I2 to set the alarm on or off. I have successfully managed to do this.
Furthermore, in the morning when the light is brightening up and I turn the light on (i.e. I flip the light switch connected to I1 to on) I would like the light to go to 100% and the wake-up function should be terminated. When I turn the the lights of later (i.e. flip the light switch connected to I1 to off) the light should go off and the alarm should stay deactivated for the day.

When I turn the lights on via Domoticz I can no longer read the status of the physical switch connected to I1. These appear to be linked.

Since the Qubino dimmer has three inputs (I1, I2 and I3) I figured I could just use I2 and I3 as a work around.
At the moment i'm running in to the problem that I2 works like expected but I3 doesn't.
When I flip the physical switch of I3, Domoticz shows that I2 is turned on.
I can also see this in the log.
When I flip the physical switch connected to I2 the log shows:

Code: Select all

...(Controller) Light/Switch (Qubino I2)
When I flip the physical switch connected to I3 the log shows:

Code: Select all

...(Controller) Light/Switch (Alarm Type)
...(Controller) Light/Switch (Alarm Level)
...(Controller) Light/Switch (Qubino I2)
It appears as if I2 turns on I2, and as if I3 turns on I2 + two alarms.
I have measured and confirmed that the inputs I2 and I3 are not physically connected (there is no short between them).

So, my questions:
1. Is it possible to read out the physical status of the switch connected to I1 when Domoticz turned on the light?
2. If not, how can I use I2 and I3 as two separate switches?

I have set up the Qubino dimmer as follows:
Spoiler: show
1. Input 1 switch type: Bi-stable
2. Input 2 switch type: Bi-stable
3. Input 2 contact type: NO; Normaly open
4. Input 3 contact type: NO; Normaly open
...
20. Enable/Disable 3-way switch/additional switch: Single push button (connected to I1)
...
100. Enable / Disable Endpoints I2 or select Notification Type and Event: Sensor binary
101. Enable / Disable Endpoints I3 or select Notification Type and Event: Sensor binary
...
After changing parameters 100 and 101 I excluded the node and included again after 30+ seconds as stated in the manual.
I have added node 001 (the Z-wave USB stick) to groups 8, 9 and 10 of the Qubino dimmer under [Setup|Hardware|(Controller|Setup)|Node management|Groups & Network] as can be read in several posts in the Domoticz forum and elsewhere.
Also tried to 'learn light/switch'. I get a new switch in Domoticz when doing this. The 'last seen' section is updated when I flip the I3 switch but in Domoticz I2 gets turned on. The log of I3 in Domoticz shows a lot of 'OFF' entry's.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
