Hi All,
I'm having trouble with the range of the Aeontec z-wave stick (gen5) , I also opened it up to see if antenna replacement is possible but, It does not even seem to have an antenna in the USB stick... (it might be in the printboard or something ????)
So, what I would like to do is scale out, (yes , I know, z-wave is a mesh network, no need.... but this house is just too big (too many hops) and having devices connect directly to the controller is just way faster)
Just use antoher raspberry pi with another stick, connected to ethernet on another floor...
But, how do I need to connect that to the current domoticz installation ? any best practices/experiences to share ?
Questions I have are:
-Do I need to exclude some devices of the current stick and include them on the other one or is there an "easier way" ? (handover)
-I want to use one user interface and one app, not two, is that still possible ?
-Is this considered a "secondary controller ?"
-I'm using node-red and MQTT for all automation, would device IDX change when I migrate some of them to the other stick ?
Scale out
