Setpoint and ESPEsay

Post by ulfh2018 »

Hope this is the right thread, if not, please inform me.

I have been looking for a way to have Domoticz control a relay using setpoint and a temperature sensor DS18B20 (or what ever). I have spent some time looking at some examples, but what I have found is in Polish, and though I have tried to copy the code, it does not work. From the few examples I have found, it looks like there is a combination between rules at ESPEasy and scripting at Domoticz, but so far it has not helped me. One of the reasons is, off course, that I am new to Domoticz.

I have made a virtual device SetPoint, type Setpoint, on Domoticz and connected it to the temperature sensor. The temperature shows up, but that's all I have accomplished so far.

I have looked at https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=1ef6tRinOQ4, but though it gave me some clues, I did not make anything work when I tried to implement the rules and scripts

I am not familiar with programming on the Domoticz, and as far as I have seen, I have to use some kind of events, but I need more information than telling me I need to use Blocky, Lua, dzVents or Phyton.

Can someone please give me some information to help me out.

Best regards
Ulf
