Luminosity/Sunlight sensor 433Mhz

Hello,

Anybody out there can recommend a luminosity/Light sensor which would work with RFXCOM?

I am trying to find devices which I can strategically place around rooms so as to lower shutters when Sun is directly shining on the sensor.

I have seen a number of sensors but they all require assembly and can't find any which are battery powered and bundled with an RF Transmitter.

Ideally something already packaged in a case which can be put somewhere, and which has fast enough updates to stop a shutter once the right luminosity values are reached.

I know it is not 433 Mhz but it works with my RPi 3

I am trying this once again.

Finally the miflora was not siutable. The problem is that if one needs to constantly poll the sensor the battery will drain in no time.

I am really surprised I cannot find anything siuted for the job. Many of the Somfy, Becker etc... offer their own module that can be attached via a sucker directly onto a window pane, but these are normally pretty expensive and proprietary (due to rolling code etc..)

The next closest thing i found was this:

But it does seem that this sends on/off signals not a lux measurement, and what's more it cannot be regulated, so this would make it useless for my application.

Is it possible there is nobody out there who has a good solution to automatically close a shutter or a curtain based on a Lux measurement?

I'm polling my Mi Floras once in an hour an battery draining isn't an issue. Also, it's not that hard and expensive to replace the battery.

Also, If I remember correctly there was an a script somewhere here, it's based on your location and calculates data based on current weather situation and some other sunlight related data. It's a Python Plugin, but don't recall its name

actually the issue here is that i need to poll in almost real time. The reason is that I need the mechanism to close a shutter as soon as the Sun hits. Also, I need to add some algo to ensure that the Sun is constantly hitting for let's say 3 minutes before it actually activates the shutter. For this reason, i'd have to poll for example once every minute. This seems to drain the battery.

In meteo-systems operating on 433MHz a 'make-shift' solution to measure light-level is to take a T/H-meter and by DIY replace the Thermo-sensor, either by an LDR, or by a pair of Photodiodes: internet is your friend to find a description of such setup.
The modified T/H-sensor reports lightlevel as 'virtual temperature' and 'virtual humidity (percentage)'.
Not an absolute measurement, but by setting a threshold you get the switching function as required.
Those T/H-sensors live long on a set of batteries (usually > 6 months).
Several suitable T/H-sensors are compatible with RFXCom, e.g. TFA_Nexus T/H-sensor type 30.3177

I've seen that before. Indeed very interesting. I'm not sure i can handle the DIY bit though! I was hoping to find something ready made.
I'm now thinking of going with one of those Sunis sensors from Somfy. Pretty expensive, but might do the trick. I am however unsure whether these act like remotes in that the RFXCOM can recognise them and use them as regular switches. If this is the case, then these are adjustable and hence will do the trick without having to actually transmit the luminosity value.
