Kodi plugin port 9090?

Post by Labtec »

Hi,

I installed the Kodi Plugin, working fine :-) the default port on my player was 8080 because I always use the Kore remote control app
for Kodi on my mobile phone.

The problem is that the Kodi plugin doesn't function with port 8080, I must set the plugin and the Kodi player to port 9090 to function, but with port 9090
In can't use my Kore remote app anymore :-(

I there something else I could try out to make it possible to use the plugin and my Kore remote control app

Thanks!

@Labtec,

There is a common misconception that the Kodi needs to be reconfigured to work with Domoticz but it does not.
Your Kodi media Player must be configured to allow control by remote programs to work with Domoticz. To see where to do this using the default Confluence skin see: https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Service ... er_systems.

By default Kodi exposes an asynchronous interface on port 9090 in addition to the web server it runs on 80 or 8080. If required, it can be changed by updating the underlying XML configuration, details are here Override Default Port but this should not be required.

Do not change any of these web server settings in an attempt to make this plugin work. It does not use the Kodi Webserver so it will make no difference.
