Controlling 1-wire sensor polling frequency

Post by MattD »

Is there anyway to set the polling, or logging frequency for a temperature sensor? As far as I can tell the default is 30 seconds or so.

I've got a variety of 1-wire temperature sensors attached to my Pi via a 1-wire controller - some need only to be every 15 minutes as they are just environmental sensors - others need to be more frequent. It doesnt seem worth tracking the environmental ones more frequently than I need.

It's not so much a problem - more a request to be able to control device polling frequency through settings or devices menu. I am sure I could get deep into the scripts and find a way to modify it, but that's a bit beyond me at the moment.

Any solution? I believe it is not necessary to check it so often...
