Somfy RTS is transmit only and does not need any protocol enabled.

Protocol enabling is only necessary for protocols to receive.

I don't think that is necessary. You can use with RFXCOM the same procedure as when you are connecting the first Somfy remote to an RTS receiver.

Here is a link to a (dutch) manual to program a remote. There the procedure for connecting the first remote is explained.

Hi Roger,

I just ordered a RFS module for my 4 motor controller. Can i sync the RFXCOM without buying a wireless remote?
My motor controller is currently controlled by 4 wired remotes.

I have a connected sun sensor that I wish to enable/disable from Domoticz. But when I press the cog icon on the blind switch widget It asks for a password ("Please enter Password:")? Why is that? Is it still possible to enable/disable from script instead, perhaps also map so it´s possible to run from android app? Running Version: 2020.1 (build 11930)

Hi all,

I've had the chance to do some testing and got the screens working without the use of a remote.
Just pressing the button on the motor controller for 2 seconds worked for me.

Seem to have been fixed now in 2020.2 (build 12016). No longer a password prompt pop-up. But still how can I map enable/disable of the sun/wind detector setting to a actual time/day? Only through script?

Can anyone please explain why I am unable to change the slider value for my lift&tilt blinds? I am using the RFXCom4333XL and have connection in Domoticz with the blinds in the sense that I can send them up and down. If I configure the switch to be "Blinds percentage", I get the slider instead of the Stop-button, but I cannot actually change the slider's value (lilke I can with my Fibaro Dimmer 2 lights).

On my Somfy remote, I can tilt the slats by press+holding the up or down button, and they stop tilting when I release the button (short press will make it go fully up/down). In my Domoticz however, I can only make them go up/down all the way, and I have to stop them using the stop button.

What could I have possibly overlooked that results in the slider not working?

EDIT:

I overlooked this post from 2016 :x
b_weijenberg wrote: Wednesday 24 February 2016 9:36 There is no command to open for a percentage. The only way is to use a timer and transmit a STOP/MY command.
The RFXtrx433E supports Venetian blinds in EU or US mode. See the RFY tab in RFXmngr.

Hello

I have SOMFY working with RFXTRX433e since 8 years (I was one of the first to use it ;) ... or say it differently, I am old! :D )
I broke one of my 4 venetian blinds and change it including the motor. So now I am back to add this new venetian blind (in fact replace the old one by this one) into Domoticz. Unfortunately, I forgot everything on how to configure and I had to relearn.

I connected RFXTRX433e to RFXManager but it said my firmware was too old and disconnected.
I updated the FW to latest version and now I can stay connected in RFXManager.

Now I am willing to find which UNIT / ID I used for my venetian in order to avoid to erase my other venetian remote. But I am stuck here.
I think I have to send a "list remotes" command but the "Transmit" button cannot be pressed, it is greyed...
What do I missed??

thanks

Use the procedure in chapter 9 of the RFXtrx User Guide.

In short:
put the motor in learning mode and transmit a program command. I guess easiest is to use the same ID and unit code as used in Domoticz.

I read already the manual but as said before I cannot "transmit" any command

Well in fact I disconnected and reconnected and it works now.
I just have one strange thing. I have listed all the remote and one of them is:
20/01/2022 05:40:22:691= 1401030A00060101010592F6687420524658434F4D
Packettype = Interface Message
subtype = RFY remote:6 ID:01 01 01 unitnbr:5 rfu1:92 rfu2:F6 rfu3:68
So with UNIT number = 5 but in RFXManager, UNIT Number can be maximum 4!

I have curtains and like to control them by a Somfy Movellite RTS 35 motor. At the moment they are controlled by the Smoove remote controller. I have no idea how to learn that motor the codes from my RFXCOM - RFXtrx433 USB 433.92MHz Transceiver Version: Pro1/1044.
There is no learn-modus as far as I know on that motor. Just a hidden button but that is used to reset the memory of the motor.

Is it possible to receive the codes in Domoticz which are send by my Smoove remote control?

I created manual a new switch:
Image

In the RFXtrx_User_Guide, chapter 9 it says:
Press the Program button > 2 seconds on the remote..
Transmit a program command wit he RFXtrx433.
The RTS device should respond.

But up till now no luck. Maybe another type of switch? But no curtains available.. :(

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot in advance!

The RFXtrx User Guide says:
To pair the Somfy RTS device:
• Select a unique ID and unitcode for the RFXCOM RFY device.
• Disconnect power from all Somfy RTS devices except the device to pair.
• Press the Program button > 2 seconds on the original Somfy remote until the Somfy device responds.
• Transmit a Program command with the RFXtrx433E/RFXtrx433XL. The Somfy RTS device should respond indicating the pair command was successful.

The first thing is that the motor should respond to the pairing command send by the original Somfy remote. This indicates that the motor will accept an additional remote.

Please check the Somfy user guide how to transmit the pairing mode command with your Somfy remote.

H Bert,

I have only one RTS device: a Movelite Motor RTS to move curtains. https://www.somfy.nl/producten/1003175/movelite-35-rts
I have a Somfy Smoove remote control unit. https://shop.somfy.nl/draadloze-muursch ... rigin-rts/

When I composed this post and studied the link on the Somfy-site I read that my remote control sends on 868,95 MHz
Domoticz sends of course on 433.420 MHz

Didn't realise that different bandwith when I bought this system...

So now I have no idea how to get this system running with Domoticz... May you can give a hint?

Somfy delivers a wireless transmitter for IO.. https://www.somfy.nl/producten/1822609/izymo-zender Does somebody knows a RTS version on 868,95 MHz?

Somfy IO operates at 868MHz and is only supported by Somfy controllers.
Somfy IO is encrypted and needs a special transmitter.

Somfy RTS operates only at 433.42MHz. The RFXtrx433E and RFXtrx433XL operate normally at 433.92MHz and will switch to 433.42MHz when a Somfy RTS or Funkbus command is transmitted.
Somfy RTS receive is not released for security reasons and not very useful due to the rolling code which is linked to the remote/RFXtrx
