Set Value of a virtual rain sensor

I have created a dummy rain sensor.
Now i want to set it values from a lua script.
But i'm not succeeding to do this.
Is there anyone who has an example code of setting this sensor.
like
commandArray[2] = {['UpdateDevice'] = 155 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'}
