How do I set/change zwave device config parameters via lua?

I would like to be able to set and change zwave device configuration options via a lua script. Is this possible?

I have a Vision ZM1601EU-5 Battery Operated Siren+ that has the option of Siren Strobe Mode as 1) siren, 2) strobe, or 3) both. I am incorporating a few of these into a home security setup and depending on what happens I would like to have strobe only sometimes and both sometimes so I need to be able to change this config setting "on the fly" somehow. Any ideas? a lua script would be idea but any suggestions are welcome.
