Version: 4.9700
Platform: Raspberry Pi
Plugin/Hardware: RFXCCOM RFXtrx433XL

Description:
I am new at the Domoticz and have the Z-Wave Plus stuff installed without any issue.
But I just bought a RFXCOM RFXtrx433XL so I can control my KAKU devices.

When the RFXCOM is inserted into the USB port of the Pi, it is recognized as ttyUSB1.
I can add the hardware in Domoticz:

But when I try to update the firmware I get an error before it starts the updating:
(In the Get Bootloader version part)

Problem updating firmware
RFXCOM: bootloader reset..

I notice that the RFXCOM has a red led burning, it does not go out, which indicates that it is in Boot load mode (what ever that may be

)
It does this all the time, from the moment it is inserted to the USB port until it is removed from the USB port.

Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this? Or is it a DOA RFXCOM?

I tried connecting it to a Windows 10 laptop. In this case the red led is on the entire time as well.
Using the RFXManager I can 'see' the device, but thats it.
The RFXFlash tool doesn't see the device, so I cannot update the firmware from here as well.

I suppose the RFXtrx was operating and the update was not correct finished or the wrong firmware was selected.
Please contact support rfxcom.com for the procedure how to recover the RFXtrx.

Thanks to the guys at RFXCOM everything now works as expected.

The problem was that I flashed the RFXtrx433E firmware into the FRX433trxXL.
If you do this you cannot flash the correct firmware into it.
After some hardware instructions provided by RFXCOM I could reset the device and could flash the correct firmware using my Windows laptop.
