HI All,

I've just purchased a rfxtrx 433 and got it working with Domoticz, raspberry pi and lightwaverf.

The question I have is, I've got this led strip set up: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5M-5050-Dream ... 20dffd219b Is there a way I can use Domoticz to send signals to the rf controller via the 433?

Thanks
Shyam

This controller is and will not be supported.
Check chapter 2.2 in the RFXtrx User Guide for the list of devices supported by the RFXtrx.

A wifi led controller will do the trick, but this has nothing to do with 433mhz and the RFXcom!

Thanks for suggestion.

The thing is that my current controller gives 133 effects..do we know if the AppLamp gives the same functionality?

For as I know for now: The Applamp (Mi Light) in Domoticz cannot play any programmed effects on your lamp or LED Strips. Just specified colors by Scenes

Hi Shyam,

About the effects: Applamp RGBW has 4 zones, 255 colors + White and 19 dim-levels.

For programming them I use this: http://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1526 which is very easy to use in scripting, so you can basically control the zones, colours and dim-levels exactly the way you want.

I did it simple with a Switch...[ Action, a very cheap one ]

Once you get the good colors, most of the time is it swich on/off.

I just buy a simple led strip in China.
5 m voor €5.
A 12v power adapter, perhaps you have 1, or look @ the recycle place from your hometown, or buy a cheap in China.
Buy some connectors in China, for the strpi and to the poweradapter.
Buy a cheap 433Mhz[ Whe you have the E version] or a other cheap supported device, or a expensive Zwave switch.
Make the strip @ the length you want....
Make sure you make the adapter on the good way on your ledstrip!! + and - goed! [ or rgb - ]

Learn the switch

and you got a remote ledstrip...:-)

Applamp/Milight works like a charm. You can control the basics with Domoticz. The effect you can control with the Applamp/Milight app. You can also program your own effects.

Not?
Your link says rgb?

When it is not RGB my option will work great.

This is the exact one i have: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5M-5050-Dream ... 20dffd219b

Its RGB such that you can select RGB colours, but if you look at the connections, its not RGB, its Data and Clock. And from the link you can see that it can have up to 133 effects.
