Door magnetic sensor rendered as switch instead contact

Hi,

I have a few of these 433MHz magnetic sensors and I don't like the fact Domoticz treats them as switches. I.e. They can be toggled from the dashboard - which doesn't make sense.

Is there a way to restrict this, e.g. by converting it to 'contact' or sth else?
Should I create new virtual contact and write a script where (original) switch would toggle contact?

What do you see if you select edit? Don't you have an option to change the switch type? Also I would expect a checkbox marked 'Protected' if you check this box the switch can not be changed by the user.
