Power Interupted

We had a storm the other day, the power went off but not cleanly. For several seconds the power flickered, came on, off several times. The result... two Raspberry Pis with corrupted memory cards. I'm now having to rebuild my Domoticz system from scratch, again. And yes I did have an image of the card but I couldn't get it to load, but that's another story.
My question is, is there a device that one could put in the power line to the Pi which, when the power is interrupted for a fraction of a second, will cut the power to the device until it is manually turned on again? Thus preventing the system from repeatedly trying to boot and the power being cut off rendering the card unreadable.

I don't know if such a device exist but for the protection of my Synology NAS, I use this UPS

This protects against power surges and will keep the power on my systems for about 30 minutes while disconnected from the grid and then gracefully stops my NAS.
The remaining free outlets are used to protect my PI's, Hue bridge and HomeWizard stuff. So in your case it could prevent the "flickering" of the power to your PI's

On a side note. I use berryboot in combination with my NAS (iSCSI). This mechanism will only boot from SD but every subsequent read / write is via the LAN to/from my NAS. Faster and much more reliable than read/write on SD-card

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do use a UPS on my main computer and server so I don't have any problems there. I was hoping that there was a simpler, under $10 little switch device that one could put in the power line. Sort of like a reverse fuse that breaks the connection when there is a drop in power.

Or take a look a ups board.
Like Pico ups or some other hats.
I used to have a pico ups hat and it does the trick only support sucks.

A simple relay and a push button could do the trick.
You start the relay with the push button and then the relay powers itself. When power grts interrupted you need to push the button again.

Never tried it but would using a powerbank for the PI be a solution. Then make sure the powerbank is always connected to a charger.

Could work, used one years ago.
But keep in mind you need a power bank which is capable of charging and giving power at the same time.
Hard to find as nowadays those ain't sold anymore, at least over here

I run my Pi's (3B) from USB stick, without SD card. No more corrupted SD cards by power outage or card wear by age. Also runs faster than with the OS on SD card
