how to backup? Topic is solved

hello,

i have a raspberry pi with domoticz running on it, i installed various scripts and plugins on to domoticz and i was wondering how i could back it up to a network share so i would not lose everything if for example the sd card would give up.

i searched the interwebs but could not find anything that i could understand with my limited linux knowledge so maby someone over here could help me?

functions i was thinking of:
- image backup, full image of the system
- versioning, so for example have backups from the last 5 days so if i screw up i can restore
- universal so i can use it on non domoticz raspberry's

i hope someone over here has more brainpower to this than i do and can help me and maby the rest that is searching for something linke this?
