Is it possible to directly send manually constructed zwave commands via a script/api?

Post by dgeldtme »

Hi,

This is my first post on this forum, which has been a great resource so far in building my home automation system.

I would like to send specific zwave commands (command_class_configuration) to a new device I have included in our home.

What is the case? I have integrated the RGBW-dimmer module of Qubino. Standard RGBW dimming and color pickin works like a charm. Also the module has a variety of scenes programmed (rainbow, lightning, party, romantic), these scenes can be chosen via one of the inputs on the device. Via this input you can ‘walk through’ a carrousel of the scenes or switch off the dimmer.

These scenes are not available for activation via the standard command classes which are used during normal operation. However when opening the OpenZWave Control Panel, I am able to choose and activate any of the scenes in the device via zwave.

What I would like to explore is the option whereas I create a dummy switch device which triggers some sort of script or api that sends the actual zwave command that is send when I am using the OZCP.

Does anyone has any suggestions on how to proceed?

Everything you can control from OZWCP you can from a script. I have php functions for that,, part of pass2php.
