2 domoticz paste together?

I own Domoticz on a Synology. Because I now also have a smart meter (SO) and it is more than 20 meters away from the systems, I can not use a USB cable. I will therefore have to put a Raspberry in the meter cupboard. I have now provided a Pi3 with Domoticz (V3.8153) Unfortunately my Domoticz on Synology is version V3.7067. So the question is whether the Pi3 can still be set up as a slave? If not, the next question comes: switching from the Syno to the Pi, but I also have a zwave configuration on the Syno, under which a switch is not in a real accessible location. Is this configuration simply transferable to the Pi? As a final question: How can the data of the Pi be written to Synology? since the Pi works with (not so reliable) flash memory, and the Syno just has a hard disk (which also gets backed up).
