Status door sensor not showing in Homekit

I recently bought the Aeotec recessed door sensor gen5 and configured it in Domoticz. In Domoticz the sensor is working fine and presenting the correct status of door open/closed. I'm also using Homebridge/HomeKit and although the door sensor is visible in HomeKit, the status of the door sensor is not updated in homekit.

It shows up as a switch, which I can toggle on/off, but when I open the door the status is unchanged. I assume I'm doing something wrong in my Domoticz configuration as I can't configure anything in Homebridge or HomeKit.

Does anybody recognize this issue an can provide a solution to make it work so I can include it in my HomeKit scenes?
