been tinkering around with my esp8266 and nextion display and came up with this

its still a work in progress but it turned out realy nice
also supports ota updates via a web interface

Those displays are pretty magnificent. Not cheap tho for the bigger ones.

Is it possible to use it as an alarm keypad? Are you considering to implement that in your project?
I would really like this because I can't find a nice and good featured alarm keypad to use with domoticz.

not sure but I can investigate
if its possible to send json commands for the keypad then it should be possible

Latest version is here
now has a couple of new options
-ftp server onboard for uploading config files
-config can be changed via build in webserver
-battery status is reported back to domoticz.
-voice updates are possible now via the remote hw info will folow
-battery last atleast a full day with a 2600 mAh Lipo

I use the 3.5 inch version
there is a case i designed for it on thingiverse.
make sure you download the version with the usb port cutout

WOW i really would like this one!
it it easy to adjust to personal situation?
and the "how to make it" is it good to do for a beginning electronica person , i can make some prints but not so advanced and i need a schematics
