Looks like a nice box.
Do you mind including where you found this one?

I found it here...
Original 16Million colors Wifi 5channels RGB/WW/CW led controller smartphone control music and timer mode wifi led controller
http://s.aliexpress.com/ErMvE7vQ
(from AliExpress Android)

I thought maybe I should ask around before I buy them. Maybe there are some who already bought them?

I've purchased a few of these in hope of getting them to work with domoticz. They are not esp8266 devices, they use the Hi-Flying LPB-100 chip, information and datasheets are available here:

The devices does have a web interface but the default username and password have been changed, so I haven't been able to get in. If we are able to get access then we can learn more about what they are running and possibly update OTA to a firmware that will give us what we want.

The devices use the mobile app 'MagicHome' for control, so some packet sniffing might also shed some light on what we need to do to get these working in domoticz.

I've tried adding the device as a limitlessled unit, but that doesn't work. I'll try the Arilux plugin but I doubt that will work either as the unit isn't esp8266 based.

Adding the device as an RGBW Arilux AL-LC0x device does provide very basic on/off control of the white channel only. There is no colour or brightness control whatsoever, so some more work is required, but it seems the basic framework for control of the box without firmware modifications does exist.
