Hi,

I have a garagedoor from Marantec, the model is Comfort 220. See: https://www.gebruikershandleiding.com/i ... 2023:43:26

It would be great if opening of it could be integrated into Domoticz.

I read an article (https://eye-vision.homeip.net/garagedeu ... martphone/) that it is possible to automate this with a Klik aan klik uit AMU 500 (https://www.klikaanklikuit.nl/media/wys ... 0109_1.pdf, page 9).

Has anybody done this before?

How does Domoticz recognise the AMU 500? Do I need to have a remote from Kiku? How does the wirering work? Is it save to operate the door with this simple protocol?

Hi you can open/close your door with a pushbutton. If you are running your domiticz on a rpi yiu can add a relay on one off your gpio's and add a virtual pushbutton in domoticz that controls the relais

I use this setup with a Hörmann door about 2 years or so. Works perfect. I use a sensor to check if the door is open or closed.

But nothing happens when I click on On ...

Maybe the root of the problem is the pulse amu-550 sends to the Comfort 220. The pulse is not a second or so, but continues. Only if I click Stop on the remote the pulse stops.

According to the manual of the receiver I should be able to finetune the pulse ( by pressing the learn button for a second, then three seconds, choose the length of the pulse en press the learn button again). But this does not work. And the helpdesk of Klik aan Klik uit is so busy, it will not answer my calls.

I love to hear your opinion.

I think you should retry the procedure, because it should work this way. Make sure you do it within 10 seconds an the led is blinking twice for a pulse of one second.

YES,

It works now. After plugging the amu-500 in another socket (I think the wiring is wrong) and pressing longer than 3 seconds I was able to program the pulse ánd control the garagedoor.

So, I am happy.

I have one question remaing. We also have the original remote. If someone uses this one, the status (open or closed) in Domoticz is not correct.

But ... The old owner of our house created a visual option: when the garagedoor is open, an old bicycle light lights up.

Would it possible to attach a transmitter (e.g. a PIR?) to the light; it would sent an signal when the light is aluminated?

ik ga er even vanuit dat je uit nederland komt. Ik heb exact dezelfde garagedeur maar krijg het niet voor elkaar om het werkend te krijgen. Kun je me aangeven welke poorten je op de garagedeur gebruikt icm met de asu500? Alvast bedankt!

May I suggest you think twice about the security of this? Do you really want to open your house with a klik aan klik uit device?
I actually did the opposite. The power of my garage door opener is switched off. The opener only gets power for 3 minutes when I push the home button on my floorplan.

Surely easier to use a magnetic door contact from a KAKU alarm sensor, seeing as how you already have a link from KAKU to Domoticz?

I agree with Egregius about security. KAKU is really easy to hack. Even with a more secure protocol like e.g zwave, some kind of ‘2FA’ is better. I have my opener powered off (like Egregius) at all times so it will not even respond to the original remote. To open the door, I use Domoticz to power it for 5 mins max. Only when it’s on does it listen for the remote (which cannot be achieved by a remote hacker at a distance). I have a magnetic sensor on the door and as soon as it closes, the power goes off immediately even if the 5 mins are still running. I also have it play audible warnings on my squeezeboxes to tell me the garage door was opened or has been left open (strategic hue lights change colour too). If the door opens during the night then the volume of those alerts is enough to wake me (no kids coming home at all hours). There’s also an IP cam in the garage for extra checks.

Can’t be too careful when it comes to opening doors remotely ! To get into my garage you’d have to hack my Domoticz AND have an original remote within physical range. So I only do one half of the 2FA with a long-range protocol and for the second you have to be physically there.

Even with a more secure protocol like e.g zwave, some kind of ‘2FA’ is better. I have my opener powered off (like Egregius) at all times so it will not even respond to the original remote.

On my side, I have the Hormann garage door opener that's in the first mail link Domoticz'ed by a qubino ZMNHND1, z-wave/securely included relay.
That's IMO as secured as Hormann original remote (or maybe even better). I just took care of after power-fail setup (avoid setting relay to on when power is back!).

For this door opener, 24V powered and dip-switches configurable lock-position-reached signal, ZMNHND1 that can be 24V powered (used internally by opener control board) is able to control the door (relay wired in // of pusbutton) as well as getting opened/closed status (lock signal is 0/24V, so can be compared/detected if qubino is powered by the opener internal 24V, available on an opener extension connector: Must be wired to Qubino I2).

So having secured radio with both control/status in a single module that easily fit in the opener box was possible.

I also have a remote controlled plug to switch opener off, but only when I have my vacations planning selected. Otherwise, as my children have to be able to use garage door, I only have an auto-close scripted logic that, if not at home (using alarm status) & no movement (using garage PIR) since 2mn will send a relay pulse to close the door. Just in case they forget closing while leaving with their bikes!

When at home, I also have some speech synthesis (using espeak) based notifications when door is opened/closed (mail notifications when out).
