Fibaro Dimmer 2

Post by ropske »

Hi everyone, i just installed a Fibaro Dimmer 2 for my lights outside in the garden. It is already been added to my network, but i'm wondering what all the devices are that have been added to Domoticz and what use they can have :)

Please find screenshot below

Btw, is there somewhere a documentation where you can find what ID is for what use.

Thank you very much!

ZWave devices are usually loaded with extra features that enable you to build some extra intelligence in the ZWave network itself, without using Domoticz Blockly/LUA.

The first level ID of your list controls the output; your lamp.
The second level ID probably depicts the state of the second switch you can connect to this device.
Heat will probably turn on if the device gets overheated.
Power management will probably turn on if the device gets overloaded.
System: Good question. Maybe it will turn on if the device detects an internal failure. Or maybe you can initiate calibration with it.
The 3 power meters. I think, one measures total power usage. The other two probably measure the capacitive/inductive values and might indicate different values if you connect an LED lamp or a transformer and 12V halogen lamps.
kWh measures the total energy used by this lamp.
The various alarm IDs can be used in the ZWave controller's alerm system functions. I don't know how that works. This device can raise alarms when malfunctioning, overheating, etcetera. And it can turn on or off the lamp, in case there's an alarm situation.

Take a look at the settings you can make in Domoticz's zwave settings for this dimmer. In most cases, these settings and their brief explanations offer clues in how to use the extra IDs.
