Get the codes RFXcom is sending
Is there a way to get the codes my RFXcom is sending when a button in Domoticz is pressed? I have bound some switches to KaKu devices and want to know their codes

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
I have done it the other way around. I had KAKU-devices that were controlled by a remote, and I have "learned" the remote-signal in domoticz, so I can control the KAKU-devices with the remote AND with domoticz.
Just press the learn light/switch button in the lights tab. Domoticz will listen, press the remote and if successful you will see a new device creation pop-up.

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
The thing is I have a sunscreen connected to KaKu, they are once bound via Domoticz. I didn't note the codes so I wanted to find them in the logs or database. Without success...so I was hoping someone could point me to where I can find the codes Domoticz is using either db of via a log.Hobbybob wrote:I have done it the other way around. Ah, then I misunderstood the issue you are having. I'm afraid I can't help you out here...osiris wrote:The thing is I have a sunscreen connected to KaKu, they are once bound via Domoticz. Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
If understand correctly, you want to get the code(s) send by domoticz instead of the originating device?
Thats the other way around. So you know which button/switch you trigger.
Go to Setup/Devices
Lookup the named device and check its hardware. Is it the RFXcom?
Then i guess you can contact bert weijenberg and ask if he can give you the exact codes that rfxcom sends...
He also made a debugging program [windows] to get unsupported device codes. Perhaps a neighboor has e.g. an rfxtrx433e to catch your transmitted code(s)?

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
Sorry if my question is confusing. I am looking for the Kaku id/unit code. In Domoticz when I setup a switch I can set a code:stlaha2007 wrote:If understand correctly, you want to get the code(s) send by domoticz instead of the originating device?

Code: Select all
Hardware RFXCOM
Device name: My switch
Switch Type: On/Off
Type: AC
ID: 0 00 00 00
Unit Code: 1
A year ago I've setup my switches. But once setup these codes I can not see them anymore. If I press edit on a switch I can set icon, delay, sub/slave etc. But not the ID and Unit code.

Like i said: goto most-right button [setup], click [devices]
Search for the name of your buttons/switch device...
There you get the id and code.
See my screenshot {logical naming hardware and device perpose }

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
Also a big thanks from me. I am switching from Domoticz to OpenHAB (sorry guys, it just supports my LIFX bulbs so much better) and need to get the KAKU codes. It never dawned on me they where there in plain sight
Now to find a way to get the codes in to a OpenHAB thing manually...

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
I am looking to capture the codes too, but the latest version of Domoticz just shows me 67, 68 etc for the Coco gdr2 switch codes .. this is probably the house code (A,B,C,D) .. no idea what the rest of the transmitted codes look like (there is also a unit number, a long preamble, and presumably an on/off bit)

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
Dear all, I assume that the question is still valid: where can we find the codes in the database (assuming that codes like Type, ID and unit code are stored in one of the tables of the domoticz database).

Re: Get the codes RFXcom is sending
Look in the database table DeviceStatus. The codes should be in DeviceID and Unit at least that is the case for my Somfy rollershutters.
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.
