Somfy io-homecontrol® motors or RTS motors. How to connect to Domoticz

Post by DutchSolar »

Hi everyone, thanks for reading.

I am about to order 5 screens with Somfy motors. I thought all somfy motors where compatible with the RFXCom.
Last night I found out that this is apparently not the case.

I was offered a system with 5 Somfy Sunilus motors, these use the IO-Homecontrol system and apparently are not compatible with RFXcom
I would not mind having the newer motor's with al the extra options (2 way communication for example) but I really want to be able to use Domoticz to control my screens.
Is there currently a way to control the Somfy IO Homecontrol motors with Domoticz or should I really get the "older" RTS motors that opperate on 433mhz ?

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my question.

I'd get the RTS models, I have 5 Somfy RTS blind motors and 1 RTS curtain motor all working perfectly with RFXCOM (RFXtrx433).

Adding each motor to Domoticz literally took about 30 seconds each.

Hello everybody,

I got Somfy RS100 IO motors installed and want to control them with Domoticz the 433RF devices will not work with them.

I saw the Somfy Connexoon IO for around 160 euro, does somebody know how to use this as IP gateway with Domoticz? I can not find any information on the forum?

Thank you all!

@pmarcus follow instructions on this page:

https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/RFXtrx433E

I used YouTube to find a guide showing how to put my blinds in program mode using the physical Somfy remote.

I haven't used the physical remotes in > 1yr, I control everything with Domoticz (works very well). 8-)

to Ben, and others

Thanks for the reply zo quickly. The difference is that i am using the RF-Link (http://www.rflink.nl/blog2/easyha)
The procedure writen in your link does not work with the RF link.
If tried but no succes.

Is there anyone with a working RF-link and SOMFY RTS screens willing to give some assistance to make it work woth domotics.
So far i have been able to get the screens in programming mode and make the link with the RF-Link. But when i make the device in domoticz al works once or twice and then the rolling code gets out of sync. Next i dont know witch button / switch i can make that wil keep the rolling code in sync.

Kind regards and thaks for the reply in advance.

Hi All,

I am new to domoticz. I have 6 blinds (Somfy rts) that I would like to connect to my RFXtrx433E device.
I found this link https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/RFXtrx433E that explains how to connect the blinds. But I guess I am doing something wrong.

I believe that my device has the right firmware, and it is connect to a raspberry pi 3b. I connect 2 lights and they are working fine.

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Can Anyone help me with some support?

Thanks in advanced.
