Xiaomi Smarthome Hardware Hacks

Dear All,
During my surfing on the internet for Xiaomi hardware I found a few examples how you can use the Xiaomi Doorswitch for some other purposes also.
I thought that it might be a good idea to share this information with you. Probably it inspires you too. Or probably you have found some other hacks also.
For me it started with the following video https://youtu.be/nMIcalwpstc --> a doorbel project
Then I found an article from rexii454 with the following text: A few weeks back I modified my standard alarms into smart smoke alarms with xiaomi sensors https://community.home-assistant.io/t/b ... n/8213/247
And I believe on deennoo site I found the following links (in French, but google will help

All this inspirited me to extend my existing doorbell and link it to domoticz with the door switch so I can switch based on the information a few other things (Dogs barking when I'm not home for instance, switch on the hall light when it is dark and I move to the hall already) etc
Some of you will find more examples and will have other inspirations I'm sure. So lets share
